Covering the Coastal Carolinas
Mitch Pruitt is a Georgia native who wound up in North Carolina where he discovered his love for Sailing. His desire to be in and on the water go back to his childhood where his grandparents couldn’t keep him out of the branch in Hiawassee at their campground. While in North Carolina he started working with his brother at American Marine and Sail. There he found a new passion for Sailing. As a representative for Hunter, Catalina and Precision Sailboats it did not take long for him to experience many facets of the business from sales to service.
Covering Lake Lanier / Lake Hartwell
Bill Powell had his first sailing experience while working for Turner Advertising. While working there as a designer he was selected for an all expenses paid trip to Newport RI to watch the America's Cup race back in 1980. He went out each day on the sister ship "Tenacious" to observe the race in which Ted Turner was captain of the ship "Courageous" which intimately won the race.
He was hooked. Bill bought a day-sailor within two weeks after his return from Newport and even had the billboard division at Turner Advertising paint the boat and make it look new! He has owned many sailboats over the years since then and developed a real passion for sailing.
He has been brokering boats here on Lake Lanier for almost 10 years in all. He enjoys finding the right boat for customers and helping them to not only purchase a good sail boat, but get a good price also!
